The terms of your order

Last updated 30 October 2026

The short version: we draw a colouring book starring your pet, you can print it for your family, and if a page isn't right we'll fix it.

Who we are

Crayon & Collar is run by Feather Labs, a UK sole-trader business. To get in touch, email josh@featherlabs.uk. A real person reads every message.

What you're buying

A colouring storybook starring your pet, drawn from 1 to 4 photos you send us, with the names and details you give us. The free preview costs nothing and doesn't commit you to anything. You need to be 18 or over to order.

  • The PDF (£9.99): your 48-page book, ready on our site in about 5 to 15 minutes, with a link emailed to you. It comes with a full-colour guide PDF at no extra cost.
  • The printed book (£22): the same book, printed and posted to a UK address. Delivery and the PDF are included.
  • A second pet adds £3 to either.

The price at checkout is the total you pay. Our payment provider takes the payment, and our contract starts when it goes through.

AI image models draw the pages from your photos. A drawing is an interpretation, so your pet should be clearly recognisable but won't match a photo line for line.

Cancelling, and our promise

Online orders usually come with 14 days to cancel under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013. That right doesn't apply to these books:

  • Every book is personalised, made to your details, and personalised goods can't be cancelled.
  • The PDF is digital content we start making straight away. At checkout you ask us to start at once and confirm you understand that you lose the right to cancel once we do.

Our promise goes further, as a goodwill promise on top of your legal rights:

  • The PDF: we'll redraw any page free. If you're still not happy, we'll refund you in full if you ask within 14 days of your order.
  • Printed books: we'll redraw any page free before your book is printed. If it arrives damaged or faulty, we'll reprint it or refund you, whichever you prefer.

Printed books

We post to UK addresses only, and we'll email you when your book is on its way.

For Christmas, order the printed book by Sunday 6 December. The PDF can be ordered until Thursday 24 December. Christmas post can be slow, so these dates are our best estimate rather than a guarantee.

If your book hasn't arrived within 30 days of your order, tell us and we'll reprint it or refund you. If it arrives damaged, faulty or misprinted, send us a photo and we'll put it right.

Using Crayon & Collar fairly

  • Only send photos you took or have permission to use.
  • Send photos of pets only. No people, and never children: our checks refuse photos with people in them.
  • Keep the words kind: nothing offensive, hateful, sexual or threatening, and no one's phone number or address.
  • Don't try to break, overload or copy the site.

Our checks may block a photo or a word. If an order breaks these rules we may decline it, with a full refund.

Who owns what

Your photos stay yours. You let us use them only to make your book, and to redraw pages if you ask.

Your book is yours to enjoy. Print as many copies as you like and share them with family, friends and school, for personal use. Please don't sell it or use it in a business.

We won't show your photos, your book or its pages in our marketing, or anywhere public, without asking you first. If you say yes, we'll only show pages with names and the dedication removed, and you can change your mind at any time.

The site, our stories and the Crayon & Collar name belong to us.

If something goes wrong

We're responsible for loss you suffer that's a foreseeable result of us breaking these terms or not taking reasonable care. We're not responsible for loss nobody could have foreseen, or for business losses: the books are for personal use.

Nothing here limits our liability where the law doesn't allow it, including for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud. Nothing here affects your legal rights: the PDF and the printed book must be as described, fit for purpose and of satisfactory quality. Citizens Advice can tell you more about your rights.

Complaints, law and changes

If you're unhappy with anything, email josh@featherlabs.uk and we'll do our best to put it right.

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can also bring a claim in your local courts.

We may update these terms. The version on this page when you order is the one that applies to your order. How we handle your details is on our privacy page.
